This Privacy Policy explains how the Botermi mobile application (“Botermi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information about users (“you”, “your”). By using the app, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Personal Information:
- Phone Number: For registration and authentication
- Name and Surname: For profile completion
- Email Address: For communication (optional)
- Location Data: To identify service locations
- Date of birth (if provided): To personalise loyalty offers and comply with age-based programme requirements
2.2. User Content:
- Photos and documents you upload: e.g. receipts or product photos to verify purchases
- Barcode scans: Product codes you scan to collect loyalty points
2.3. Device and Usage Data:
- Device model, operating system version, language, and unique device identifiers
- Log information such as time of access, in-app actions, and crash reports
- IP address and network status information required to provide service availability
3. Permissions and Their Usage
3.1. Camera Permission (CAMERA)
Purpose: QR code scanning and photo capture
- Scan QR codes to get product information
- Take and upload photos
- Scan product images
3.2. Photo Library Permission (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / Media Library)
Purpose: Allow you to select photos of receipts or products stored on your device for submission.
- Choose existing photos to attach to loyalty claims
- Replace or delete previously uploaded content
3.3. Location Permission (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION)
Purpose: Google Maps services and service location display
- Find nearest service locations
- Map services
- Location-based recommendations
3.4. SMS Permissions (RECEIVE_SMS, READ_SMS)
Purpose: Automatic OTP code reading and input filling
- Automatically read OTP codes received via SMS
- Automatically fill OTP codes into input fields
- Improve user experience
3.5. Push Notifications
Purpose: Send loyalty updates, promotional campaigns, and important account messages. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- Provide application services
- User authentication
- Customer service and support
- Improve application performance
- Ensure security
5. Data Protection
We take administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect your personal information:
- Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption of data transmitted between the app and our servers
- Secure servers hosted in accredited data centres
- Limited access to sensitive information granted only to authorised personnel

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located in Uzbekistan and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations, where data protection rules may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by other appropriate means and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy.
